We always discuss in medicine that the next generation is always better than the previous one. With the combination of the best quality of the mother and father in their offspring, will surely accentuate a better standard of height, looks, intelligence, genes and maybe aging process in their children. That’s why in every generation there are new advancement; like ford motors during the early 1900’s, the man in the moon during the 1960’s, the rise of the internet during the 1990’s and now we are actually on an age were traveling and maybe living on Mars can become a possibility.
So what is the next step for human being? Before getting sick means going to the hospital and getting laboratory and a treatment, and popping a pills will make you better, and if that doesn’t work maybe a surgery will improve your health. Today a new research in medicine about stem cell could potentially be a game changer. In terms of improving your health and with anti-aging procedure, stem cell treatment or therapy became a main consideration and option to a lot of doctors and their patient.
Ok let’s analyze it, if stem cell treatment or even any other advance form of treatment could potentially improve the quality of life of one person, I wonder how old can that person be? It is not uncommon now to see Centenarians (people who are 100 y/o and above) or even 80 years old who are still stronger and active than any young folks I know. They don’t have the new age medicine we are discussing and yet they’re living beyond the expected lifespan. What if this researches now could make it better in our lifetime? I guess we should be ready to reach the age 150 years.
As a matter of fact my wife who is a financial planner, on one of the their conference; it was discuss there that since healthcare and medicine technology and knowledge is advancing fast, we could live in a world wherein the ages 120-150 y/o is normal. So if that happen can we imagine how we look like during that time.
I am 37 y/o right now (wow I can’t imagine!?!) so it’s 2017 right now. And if I get to live until 150 years old that would be the year 2130. One century and a half. I could just imagine how I would look like, but I guess it would be nice to see and enjoy that long time that we have on Earth.
Bottom-line we need to prepare! Prevention seems to be a better approach now rather than cure. We always say time is changing, but I guess what really is changing is the technology and mindset of the human. We are in an era of golden advancement. New discovery, new frontiers, smaller world, etc. we have to adopt fast and see the changes in front of us, or we might be left behind.
See you in the future!!!
